The latest version of Arturia’s ever-popular vintage soft synth collection gains a vocoder, Juno-6, Emulator II and OB-Xa recreation, plus some nifty extras. Is it the king of softsynth collections?
The V Collection 8 is Arturia’s flagship virtual instrument with 28 different plugins that includes emulations of analog synths, digital synths, organs, acoustic pianos, electric pianos, and string machines. Currently there is no other virtual instrument plugin bundle more extensive than this. It comes classic Arturia emulation such as the Mini V (Minimoog), ARP 2600V, Modular V (Moog Modular), CS-80V (Yamaha CS-80), SEM V (Oberheim SEM), and more.
V C8 is the latest version that comes with three new plugins: Emulators II V, Vocoder V, Jun-6V but also major updates for older plugins including the Jup-8V, Arturia’s Jupiter 8 emulation. They are however, not just simple recreations but each plugin has additional functions such as more waveforms, effects, etc. Making them far more versatile than the original units.

FX Collection 2 follows the same concept as the big V Collection but in the effect section. It features recreations of iconic analog and digital effect processors as well as new developments. You can find emulations of the iconic Roland Space Echo, Memory Man delay, and more.
